Bacon Library offers two digital sources to download eBooks,

eAudiobooks, digital movies ,TV shows and music and a free resource through 


Overdrive works like a traditional library and is one item per user.


Hoopla digital content is always available, but patrons are limited to 5 items a month to download.

eBook Public Library Collection offers a Large collection of reference books featuring titles for both adults and kids. Almost anyone in the state of Michigan has free access!

Tumble Books are talking animated, picture books.


The Basics

  • Overdrive provides ebooks, audiobooks,  and digital movies.

  • Ebooks and AudioBooks check out for 14 or 21 days. You can change your default checkout period. Digital Movies checkout for 7 days

  • Users can have 6 items checked out at one time. Items can be returned early if needed. You can Place up to 10 items on hold.

  • Users will never receive late fees—the files automatically stop working at the end of their checkout period, and/or the user can simply delete them at or before the end of the checkout period.

  • Items can only be checked out to one person at a time. Therefore some items may be unavailable and users will need to place a hold.

The Basics:

  • Hoopla provides digital movies, television programs, music, audiobooks & ebooks.

  • There are no holds lists for content. All content is available to everyone at any time.

  • You can checkout five (5) items per month on Hoopla.
    View the number of items you have checked out or have remaining for the month under My Titles.

  • There are no fines or fees. All content stops working at the end of its checkout period.

  • Ebesco eBooks is a collection of educational books featuring diverse subject areas for all ages.

The Basics:

  • TumbleBooks are animated, talking picture books which teach kids the joy of reading in a format they’ll love. They are created by taking existing picture books, adding animation, sounds, music and narration to produce an electronic picture book (and some classics) which you can read, or have read to you.

  • The language drop-down menu allows you to view the site in French and Spanish, instead of English.
