The Gown is a fictionalized look at the making of Princess Elizabeth’s wedding gown. Famed designer Norman Hartnell was enlisted to design Princess Elizabeth's dress. The story revolves around fictional embroiderers, Ann Hughes and her co-worker Miriam Dassin, a holocaust survivor.

The author, Jennifer Robson is An Oxford-trained historian and the novel takes us into post-war England and lifts the veil of the realties of England during this time.

Next week, we'll be discussing the first ten chapters. If you're reading a little slower, do not worry. Just, wait to check back until you get there.
