         2009 Summer Reading Clubs

Registration for all Summer Reading Clubs: June 13th through July 25th.
Report back to the library on progress between June 20th and August 1st.

   Little Stars: A read-out-loud program for children ages 0—6, not yet reading on their own.
         After 10 books: name on display in the library, small prize &
           drawing entry.
         After 20 books: prize drawing entry and invitation to Evening Awards Party
           on Tuesday, August 4th.
         Each subsequent set of 10 books: entry into drawing.

   Creators: For independent readers from kindergarten
                             through those entering 5th grade.
         After 7 days of reading: name is displayed in the library,
            bookmark & entry to prize drawing.
         After 14 days of reading: goodie bag & entry to prize drawing.
         After 21 days of reading– entry to prize drawing & an invitation to
         Evening Awards Party on Tuesday, August 4th.
         After each subsequent 7 days of reading: entry to prize drawing.

   Expressionists: For students entering grade 6 through age 16.
         After first 5 hours— name is displayed in the library,
            bookmark, and entry to Teen Prize drawing.
         After 10 hours—goodie bag and entry to Teen Prize drawing.
         After 15 hours—entry to Teen Prize drawing
         After 20 hours and attending a teen library program OR
            completing 1 hour of pre-arranged library service, you are
            invited to attend the famous LOCK-IN @ BACON LIBRARY.
         Each subsequent 5 hours of reading: entry to Teen Prize Drawing.
