5th Annual Lock-In Night
Friday, August 8, 2003
49 teens waited eagerly to enter the library at 8:00pm on this special Friday night to spend the next 11 hours listening to ghost stories, making crafts, playing games, watching videos, singing karaoke, chatting with friends, and eating junk food. This special event was held to reward those teen readers who read at least 8 books and attended a program or did an hour of volunteer service during this summer's reading program.

Returning teens reclaim favorite spots.

Lindsay led many rousing games of Spoons.

Missy and Stephanie display their creation.

Madelyn, Joseph, and Hillary find a quiet spot in the stacks.

We gather in the kitchen to make souvenir tie dye pillowcases.

It's this group's turn to perform an improv skit.

Pizzas were delivered at midnight.

Good friends!

Playing games with new friends was a great way to spend the evening.

Teens had opportunities to get online and work on a web page.

Hmmmmm..... I think I'd like to return next summer!!!

A HUGE thanks to our helpers for a job well done!
