SUGGESTIONS TO MAKE YOUR HOMEWORK GO FASTER:

     1. Find a place to work with good light.

     2. A regular time each day for doing homework.

     3. Basic supplies, such as paper, pencils, pens, markers, and a ruler.

     4. What's your assignment today?

     5. Do you understand the assignment? (If not call a classmate.)

     6. When is it due?

     7. Do you need special resources (such as a trip to the library or access to a computer)?

     8. Do you need special supplies ( graph paper or posterboard)?

     9. Have you started today's assignment? Finished it?

     10. Is it a longterm assignment (a term paper or a science project)?

     11. For a major project, would it help to write out the steps or make a schedule?

     12. Would a practice test be useful?

How do I get an idea for my term paper?

Has the teacher made any suggestions in class or passed out a sheet of topics?

     What interests you?

How much information do you need to find : some topics you can locate tons of info, others are near impossible to find. Check the catalog at a library or search a magazine index before you lock yourself into a topic.

How do I do a bibliography?

If your teacher did not give you a sheet of instructions for a bibliography you might like to follow these examples:

  • How to do a bibliography
  • How do I write a book Report
