September Events

September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month! To celebrate we're providing
our new patrons with some "book therapy". Sign up for a library card this month and
we'll "prescribe" a list of books, music, or movies suited just for you!

Bacon Book Club
Wednesday, September 7th, 7:00 PM.
"The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks" by Rebecca Skloot.
Read along with us or better yet - meet with us and share your thoughts.

Library Board Meeting
Monday, Sept 12th, at 2pm.

Baby Time- 0-18 months
Begins Wednesday, Sept 14th, from 10:00-10:20am. Boost your babies brain power
with this 11-week session. Allow yourself and your baby to meet
other babies and their caregiver. Sign up today by calling 734-246-8357.

Preschool Storytime ages 3-5 years of age
Expose your 3 to 5 year old to some great stories, songs and fingerplay activities at Bacon Library.
This 11-week session will begin on Tuesday, Sept 13th, at 11:00am, OR Wednesday, Sept 14th, at 1:00pm.
Both classes are identical they are just different times and days for scheduling.

Toddler Time ages 18-36 months
A 11-week session begins every Tuesday at 10:00am OR Wednesday @ 11:00am
starting on September 13th or 14th. This is a structured session planned for one
toddler and one caregiver who enjoys short stories, songs and
movement activities. Sign up at Bacon Library or by calling 734-246-8357.

Michigan Reads- "Memoirs of a Goldfish"
Thursday, Sept 8th, at 10:30am. Join us as we kick off Michigan Reads:
One State, One Children's Book Program by celebrating the fish! Ages 1-5.

OverDrive Introduction: Sept, 22nd at 7pm.

devices right from home. Want to learn how? Stop by for a quick introduction!

Investor Education Programs
All are Mondays at 6:30pm-Registrations is required for each program
First three classes in a seven part series:

Patrons can also register for a free 15 minute counseling session available before the presentation.

Family Fun Night- Fish Tales
Join us on Monday, Sept 19th, at 6:30pm for some cool fish crafts and games to celebrate Michigan Reads!

The Friends of Bacon Library offer an ever changing selection of books and
other media for sale in the library's multi-purpose room during library's hours.
