Childrens Book Week - November 12th - 17th
Preschool Storytime: 10 week session continues
through November 14th on Tuesdays at 10:30 OR Wednesdays, at 1:00 pm.
Both classes are alike, they are 30 minutes each and prepared for ages 3-5.
The session contains stories, simple games, songs and fingerplays suited for

Baby Time: 6-18 months
A 10-week session continues on Tuesdays through November 13th,
from 11:30-11:50am. Boost your baby's brain power and have fun at
Bacon Library with each 20 minute class. We request 1 caregiver
per child at the sessions/classes. Sign up today or call, 734-246-8357.
Toddler Time: 18-36 months and 1 caregiver
The 10 week session continues on Wednesdays through November 14th
at 10:30am. Its filled with short stories, songs & movement activities.

Sit & Sew: Finish or start a project
Wednesday, November 14th. All skill levels are welcome to drop in
between 7pm & 9pm. Come join Bacon's "Sit & Sew" every 2nd
Wednesday of each month, sewing, a smile and warm conversation..
sounds like a perfect place to stitch up the time.

Bacon Library's monthly meetings. Join with others your age
for a say in what happens @ Bacon Library; plus refreshments!
Giving Tree:
Starts on Monday, November 26th @ Bacon Library thru December 21st.
The cold weather is here as our famiies gather together to give thanks.
The Bacon Library "Giving Tree" has been put up so anyone can help decorate
it with donations of new hats, gloves, mittens and scarves to be given to local charities.
If you are handy with knitting and/or crocheting this is a wonderful way to contribute.
Last year the combined totals of donations given, were exactly 224 items.
Bring your donation down to Bacon Library and place them on the tree,
please remember new items please.
Pets Need Comfort Too: @ Bacon Library
Starts on Monday, November 26th thru December 21st.
The cooler weather is here, and many pets are in a great need
of used but clean blankets, towels, sheets, washcloths, pet beds,
leashes, collars, pet dishes and yes bird cages among local shelters
and veterinarians for animals. A warm and fuzzy blanket or towel
helps ease a broken wing in transport, helps comfort a pet after surgery,
or cradles a kitten for bottle feeding. Please bring in any usable clean item
and place it in the box by the showcase before December 21st, and we will
make sure they get distributed. Last year we collected 135 items total.
Drop In Chess Game Night:
Meet new challenging players, come and learn or just come and watch.
Every Thursday night from 7-9pm at Bacon Library. Chess is very relaxing

The Friends Book Sale:
The Friends of Bacon Library offer an ever-changing selection of books
and other media for sale in the Library's multi-purpose room during library hours.
