    Celebrate a beloved children's author with a Dr.Seuss party on Saturday,
    March 1st from 2:30 - 3:30pm. Participate in games, craft activities and

    Bacon Book Club: (Adults only) Founding Mothers by Cokie Roberts
    Wednesday, March 5th, at 7:00 pm. Cokie Roberts brings to light the stories
    of the women who fought the Revolution as valiantly as the men.

    Celebrate Teen Tech Week-March 3rd through 8th
    Feeling Creative? On Thursday March 6th from 3-5pm teens will meet at
    Bacon Library to write and produce a short public service announcement and
    post it on YouTube. Bring a friend and some imagination!

    Family Fun Night
    Monday, March 10th, 6:30 pm. This month we will have some fun with Beans and potatoes.
    Drop in the 2nd Monday of each month for activities, stories, and a snack.
    Families of all ages are invited to participate and have fun!

    Sit & Sew night - All skill levels.
    Wednesday, March 12th, from 7-9 pm. Sit & Sew is a drop-in program,
    thats held on every 2nd Wednesday of each month. Stop by and share

    Knit (or Crochet) It Together! No Experience Necessary
    Monday, March 17th, at 7pm. In the friends reading room.
    Bring a project to work on, or, if you have never knitted
    (or crocheted) before, just bring yourself. We will have
    extra needles, hooks and yarn you can practice with.

    Baby Time for 6 months - 18 months
    A 10-week session continues through until
    Tuesday, March 18th, from 11:30-11:50am.
    Each 20 minute session is structured for this age group allowing babies
    to meet other babies. 1 baby with 1 caregiver please.

    Toddler Time 18-36 months
    The 10-week session continues through until
    Wednesday March 19th, 10:30-10:50am OR 11:30-11:50am.
    Toddlers and 1 caregiver have enjoyed the short stories, songs & activities

    Preschool Storytime 3-5 years of age
    This 10-week session continues through until Tuesday,
    March 18th, at 10:30am OR Wednesday, March 19th, at 1:00pm.
    Expose your Preschooler to stories, songs and activities.

    Teen Advisory Board TAB - grades 6-12
    Thursday, March 20th, from 3:30-4:30pm. Join our monthly meetings with others your age for a say in what happens @ Bacon Library, we supply the refreshments! Call 734-246-8357 for more information.

    EGGS-citing Science-Kids and parents too!
    Saturday, March 22nd 2:30-3:30pm. Who knew eggs could be so much fun?
    Join us as we do some hands-on experiments with eggs.

    4th Annual Lego Contest
    CALLING ALL LEGO MANIACS!!
    RULES:
    1. There will be three age categories: 7 and under and 8 through 11 and 12 and up.
    Constructions made by a group will be placed in the age group of the oldest participant.
    2. Use your own Lego, Duplo, Megablocks or other plastic brick.
    3. Entries should be your own creation, NOT a lego design kit.
    4. Your creation must fit on a 12 inch by 12 inch cardboard square
    (a cut up cereal or pizza box is fine). A label explaining your creation is permissible.
    5. Label the underside of the cardboard with your name(s), age(s), and a phone number.
    6. Bring your Lego construction to Bacon Library between Saturday, March 22nd and
    Thursday, March 27th. Voting begins Monday, March 24th, so the earlier you submit
    your work, the more votes you have a chance of earning.
    7. Entries will be displayed at the library through Saturday, March 29th and may be picked up the following week.
    8. Be sure to come in and vote! Bring family and friends to vote for their favorite too!

    One prize will be awarded to the builder in each age category whose
    creation receives the most votes from library patrons.
    All participants receive a ribbon and certificate.

    Drop In Chess Game Night
    Meet new challenging players each Thursday evening,
    from 7-9 pm at Bacon Library.
    Please bring your own Chess Board!!

    Stories with Belle!- Star of Beauty and the Beast
    Saturday, March 29th at 3pm @ Bacon Library.
    The lovely star has come to greet her admirers and share some
    favorite stories. Drop-in for the fun and be sure to bring a camera!

    Book Sale - used books, etc.
    The Friends of Bacon Library offer an ever-changing selection
    of books and other media for sale in the library's multi-purpose
    room daily when the library is open.

    Friends of Bacon Library Meeting Monday, March 24th, at 7pm.

    Stop by at Bacon Library to pick up a brochure or come to a meeting.
