Closed Dec. 24th & Dec. 25th and Dec. 31st & Jan. 1st, for the holidays.


"Giving Tree"
Continues through to December 21st. Help keep someone
warm this season by bringing in new items such as: mittens/gloves,
hats, or scarfs. All items collected will be taken down to the
Salvation Army to be wrapped and prepared to be handed out
to the families and individuals of all ages who need these precious
articles of clothing. So please give of youself as you always have in the past.

Gift of Reading:
Bacon Library is a proud supporter of the Free Press' in the
Gift of Reading distribution of books to children in need. Please
bring in your new books for children, birth through 6 years of age, OR
make checks payable to "Gift of Reading-Free Press Charities" anytime
through December 14th. Make the holidays happy for a deserving child!

Bacon Book Club:
Join us on the first Wednesday of the month at 7pm at the Library.
December 5th - "Thirteen Moons" by Charles Frazier
January - No Meeting

Family Fun Night:
Families of all sizes and ages are invited to drop in each month
for activities and stories. Monday, December 10th at 6:30pm. 734-246-8357

Sit & Sew:
Wednesday, December 12th, between 7pm and 9pm.
Finish or start a project at Bacon Library, all skill levels
are welcome to drop in on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.

Teen Advisory Board: 6th Grade & up
Join with others your age for a say in what happens @ Bacon Library;
plus refreshments! Thursday, December 20th @ 3:30pm.

Book Sale:
The Friends of Bacon Library offer an ever-changing selection
of books and media for sale in the library's multi-purpose room
during library hours. Good gift idea!!

Pets Need Comfort Too:
Continues through December 21st at Bacon Library.
There is a great need for clean blankets, towels, sheets,
and washcloths among various local area veterinarians and shelters
for animals. These items are used to wrap injured or frightened
patients to comfort them. Even at times restraint is needed. A fresh
blanket or cushioned towel helps ease a broken wing in transport
or cradling that puppy/kitten when bottle feeding. Donations of
all types of clean items to help pets, are being collected during library
hours a box will be available for drop off.

Drop In Chess Game Night:
Meet new challenging players at Bacon Library every Thursday night from 7 - 9pm.
