Welcome to Wyandotte and

Bacon Memorial District Library

The Library has been an integral part of the community since 1886. Our home has been at this location since 1942, when the beautiful Bacon House was donated for use as a library. The historic home is open to the public and houses our magazine and local history collections, as well as meeting rooms and offices.

We offer a wide and ever-changing array of materials, programs and services, and through our affiliation with The Library Network and the statewide Mel Catalog, our resources are greatly expanded. If there are materials we don't own at our library, we can request them to be sent here for you from other sources at no charge. The information desk is staffed by knowledgeable librarians during all our open hours who may be contacted in person or via phone, email or chat to provide answers to any questions you may have.

Happy New Year to all our patrons! We hope to see you this month at one of our many free programs. We will be having an Intro to Yoga program courtesy of the Boston Tea Room on Monday January 26 at 7:00 PM. Later that same week, we will be hosting a Meditation for Beginners class on Wednesday January 28 at 7:00 PM. If you enjoy making crafts, sign up for Family Fun Night on Monday, January 12 at 7:00 PM. We will be making Fingerprint Snow Globes which feature a very cute snowman! We will also be having another I Saw It on Pinterest: Craft Night for adults on Tuesday, January 13 at 7:00 PM where we will be creating ceramic mug art. See our online events calendar for a listing of all our programs.
